Haute horology is much like a fine vintage wine: it only gets better with time. And time is precisely what Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud has spent perfecting its craft. To mark its 10th anniversary, the maison is celebrating with a new limited edition of the FB 3SPC, which, for the first time, embraces platinum. Suffice it to say, it shines—but with the elegance and precision of a timepiece designed for true purists.

Platinum Takes Center Stage
While gold and titanium have often stolen the spotlight, platinum now makes a striking debut in the FB 3SPC collection. Why? Because working with this dense and malleable metal is a challenge worthy of the finest artisans. Each case—comprising an impressive 57 components—requires over 30 hours of machining and finishing to meet Ferdinand Berthoud’s exacting standards. Polishing it? A headache for watchmakers, but a delight for collectors who appreciate the noble and enduring nature of this precious material.
An Exceptional Movement in Two New Hues

The heart of this masterpiece remains the exclusive FB-SPC calibre, the only movement featuring a variable-inertia balance with a cylindrical hairspring, certified as a chronometer by COSC. And because excellence must always be taken a step further, the manufacture introduces two new dial hues: a luminous salmon pink (FB 3SPC.3) and an ultra-sophisticated black PVD (FB 3SPC.3-1).

On the dial side, refinement takes center stage, with a silvered velvety brass finish for the salmon version and a softened black dial for the darker variant. The 18K gold hands add the ultimate touch of luxury, treated with blue CVD for the salmon dial and finished in white gold for the black edition. In other words, choosing between them won’t be easy.
Only 20 Pieces (and Even Fewer in a Gem-Set Edition)
These marvels won’t be gracing just any wrist. Only 20 pieces of each version will be produced, and for those who enjoy a discreet touch of brilliance, a gem-set edition limited to just five pieces is also available. A total of 77 diamonds, amounting to 4.02 carats, adorn the case, buckle, and crown, executed with extreme finesse (courtesy of Chopard).
A New Folding Clasp for Ultimate Comfort
A masterpiece deserves a flawless finishing touch. Ferdinand Berthoud introduces a new folding clasp with fine adjustment of +/- 3 mm. Available on request in white or rose gold, it ensures an optimal fit on the wrist.
A Grand Celebration
This anniversary edition marks a decade of excellence for Ferdinand Berthoud, celebrating its commitment to reviving the legacy of the master watchmaker with a contemporary approach. Exclusivity, noble materials, and unparalleled craftsmanship—everything is in place to captivate haute horlogerie enthusiasts. But act fast, as these pieces won’t be available for long…
And the price? As with all Ferdinand Berthoud creations, it reflects the craftsmanship and exclusivity of the piece. But let’s be honest: if you have to ask, it’s probably not for you.
